Vendor Management Competency Development
The purpose of the project is to equip selected employees from departments involved in vendor management with the competencies needed to work more agilely with vendors and to develop the adaptability required to respond effectively when the risk landscape changes, for example when new regulatory frameworks or legislation introduce new requirements.
This is a multidisciplinary field that requires new insights, innovative learning and working capabilities, and a high degree of adaptability. The objective is to strengthen employees’ competencies and establish a common language across the affected departments, enabling employees to understand the underlying risk management and legal aspects of their work rather than simply carrying out tasks.
There is a need for employees to develop a shared conceptual framework, including a common contract lifecycle management process model and a shared understanding of risk management, contract management, and DORA compliance. In practice, employees should be able to perform and prepare risk assessments, incident logs, and vendor registrations.
